Valley View School Nursery follows very similar protocol to the Leeds City Council admissions protocol for Reception Classes. Our Nursery Admissions Policy can be found below.

Reception Admissions
Admissions to the school's Reception Classes are controlled by the Local Authority. You can apply for a place for September 2024 from the 1st of November 2023 using their online system. The closing date for applications is the 15th of January 2024 and you will be informed of your child's allocated school from the 16th April 2023.
For more information about your child starting school and how to apply please follow the link below or alternatively call the admissions team via the contact centre on 0113 222 4414. There are also documents (see below) produced by Leeds City Council which will hopefully guide you through the process. If you have any problems then do not hesitate to contact us and we can offer support to parents/carers who are having difficulties.

LCC - Applying for a primary school
If you are in the process of choosing a school for your child then you will always be given a warm welcome here at Valley View. Why not pay us a visit and see everyone at our school hard at work and engaged in their learning.
Open Evening/Open Days
If you are in the process of choosing a school for your child then you will always be given a warm welcome here at Valley View. We are planning to host a number of open sessions for Reception 2025 and will shortly be able to provide the dates for these.
Once these dates become available, please call the school office on 0113 255 4972 to book a place. We are asking families to book so that we can monitor numbers and ensure we can welcome families safely.
If you are unable to make any of the dates mentioned above, please give the school office a ring or email the office email address below and we will book you in for a tour of the school.
Year 1 - Year 6
For other year groups from Year 1 to Year 6, we manage our own admissions within school. If you would like to look around the school, or would like to enquire about spaces in certain year groups, please telephone the school office (0113 255 4972), and the staff will be able to help.
